Joel will be presenting at the St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation (SSMRF) Annual Dinner Friday 4 April as a successful grant recipient of the 2024 Research Grants. Joelโs research looks at the provision of same day radiation planning and treatment for patients with metastatic brain cancer. The project will look to validate ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ถ๐ด๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ tools used in the planning phase of radiation treatment. These tools will allow an MRI taken in the morning, then planning the radiation dose for multiple brain tumours followed by treatment in the afternoon. Once the artificial intelligence tools have been validated the project will move to clinical trial. This project has the potential to make a significant impact on the speed in which treatment can be offered for patients with metastatic brain cancers. The SSMRF Research Grant has been sponsored by Southern Cancer Care. If you would like to attend and hear more tickets are available https://events.humanitix.com/ssmrf-annual-celebration-dinner
