Thank You to Outgoing Chair, Mr Robert Robson
Southern Cancer Care would like to sincerely thank Mr Robert Robson, who stepped down as Chair at the end of 2025, for his many years of service and contribution to the organisation.
Rob is a licensed builder and supervisor with more than 50 years’ experience in the building industry. This extensive expertise has been invaluable to Southern Cancer Care, with Rob overseeing and supervising all building projects undertaken by the Cancer Care Centre.
Rob’s involvement with the organisation began with the construction of Bezzina House, and he has served as a committee member since 1992. Prior to this, Rob was part of the original committee that established the Prostate Cancer Institute and went on to serve on that committee continuously for 20 years. He served as Chair of both St George Cancer Care Incorporated and the Prostate Cancer Institute Incorporated.
Having lived in the St George and Sutherland area for most of his life, Rob has maintained a strong and enduring commitment to the local community and to improving cancer care services in the region.
Southern Cancer Care acknowledges Rob’s longstanding dedication and thanks him for his leadership, expertise and service.
Following Rob’s departure from the role, SCC Director Peter Graham has assumed the position of Chair.
